The Los Angeles Lakers hosted their NBA Championship Victory Parade on the afternoon of June 17, 2009. The victory parade began at LA Live / Staples Center and traveled south to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum where the special celebration took place in front of an expected capacity crowd of 95,000 Lakers fans. The celebration featured Coach Phil Jackson, the players (such as Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, and Lamar Odom), the Laker Girls, other special guests (such as Earvin 'Magic' Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar).

Magic Johnson Foundation hosted their tenth annual
leadership conference during the week of July 20
– 26, 2008. The “MJF Life Skills Leadership
Conference” benefited the Taylor Michaels
Scholarship program to help inner-city youth to
attain higher education and begin the road to fulfilling
their goals and dreams. In addition to financial
support, the program is committed to mentoring the
scholars throughout their undergraduate and graduate
careers. This year’s conference included health
and fitness awareness, financial education, employment
experience, and cultural/social outings around Los
Angeles, just to name a few. KRYSTAL

year’s conference.

on the afternoon of July 7, 2007 in honor of Renee
Walden. The "Girlfriend Spa Gala" benefited
the American Lung Association to help programs that
support asthma. This year's spa gala was filled
with empowerment, enjoyment, laughter, and friendships.
Our guest learned techniques that relaxed their
mind, detoxified their body, and energize their
soul through yoga, nutritional tips, healthy delightful
snacks, trendy relaxing music and poetry by Deep
Red and Tony Award Winning poet, Poetri.

2005. The "Maximize 2005" Gala benefited
the Imani Phi Christ program to help teenage girls
maximize their potential. This year's honoree was
the Ms. Mara Brock Akil, creator and executive producer
of the hit Paramount Network Television comedy series
Girlfriends on UPN. This event included program
host Tracee Ellis Ross, fashion show hosts Terrell
& Victoria Tilford, and fashions of Baby Phat
by Kimora Lee Simmons, Montrese Chandler, and RyanKenny.

on the night of February 13, 2004. The "Touching
a Life" Gala benefited the Challengers Boys
& Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Clubs
of Santa Monica. This year's honoree was the Ms.
Janet Jackson for her lifetime achievements. This
event included a VIP reception, silent auction,
formal dinner and special entertainment by vocalist
Jeffery Osborne and Anthony Hamilton; along with

Bikram Yoga College of India hosted the first-ever
World Yoga Expo during the week of September 24-28,
2003. The “Yoga Expo” benefited the
Karma for Kids, a non-profit organization that sponsors
children with cancer; and Your Kids Organization,
which educates inner-city children through culture,
arts, dance and yoga. This event included a star-studded
gala opening and VIP reception featuring Bikram
and Rajashree Choudhury, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Deepak
Chopra, Amrit Desai, Vishwananda, and Gulshan Grover.
The entertainment for the evening included Shanti
Shanti, Yoga Angels, Your Kids Organization, and
